What a night!

Updated: Feb 13, 2020

So thankful after last night's book launch. Thankful to God for bringing me this far. Thankful to the family and friends who have supported me. Thankful to contributors that made it all happen. Thankful to co-workers who have walked with me, some of them for years. Thankful to young people who have put up with me! Thankful to the people who asked along the way, 'How's your book going?' It was a joyous celebration. There were many people there who are not involved in youth ministry but want to support young people and the church's ministry to them.

One couple was there whom I have known since my very first post in youth ministry in Washington, Tyne and Wear (it's got a service station on the motorway, what's the other Washington got?). They'd travelled 120 miles to join the thankful celebration, then needed to head back. They are in week 2 of a new church plant and needed to return for Sunday morning's service. Still faithfully serving God's people.

When the church works well together, it is a beautiful thing and there is nothing else like it in the world. So what's the plan?

"His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms, according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Ephesians 3.10-11

That's quite a lot, but what else would you rather be doing?
